Updaters leave old copies behind, and dragging an app to the Trash leaves its support folders. CleanPaws finds apps installed twice by their bundle ID, keeps the newest, and sweeps up leftovers from apps you removed months ago.

Almost every app installs a helper that launches at login and runs all day. CleanPaws lists every startup agent with the app that owns it, in plain English, and turns the ones you don’t need off with a single switch.

CleanPaws is written in Swift and lives quietly in your menu bar. It uses less memory than a single browser tab and does its work on a low-priority thread, so your Mac never stutters while it cleans.
